Abstract:
The hospitality project showcased in this portfolio was an individual project completed in nine weeks. This boutique hotel, Reflections, is located in the historic city of Charleston, South Carolina. Stained glass is an important aspect of Charleston's history. American Interior Designer and Artist, Louis Comfort Tiffany, was the creator of Tiffany Glass, which is the glass that was integrated into many of the historic homes, churches and buildings in the late nineteenth century. Art was also a component used to represent the history of Charleston throughout the hotel. Reflections targets millennial and bliesure clients. It's simple and modern design is tied together through a cool and calming color palette of neutrals and blues. The friendly and relaxing environment it creates makes for a great spot for tourists and locals. The project is comprised of multiple galleries, a breakfast and brunch café, a seafood bistro, a hair salon, standard rooms, and deluxe and executive suites. Overall, this stained glass hotel makes for a welcoming destination to guests in Charleston. ( en )
