Nishi District Summer Fireworks Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Camp Takeyama (1-minute walk from Kotokoka-gakkomae Bus Stop) | 4:30 to 9 p.m. Wrap up summer with a bang! On the west side of Yokosuka, a brilliant spectacle of around 1,200 reworks will be launched from 7:30 to 8 p.m. Take the time to also enjoy bon odori dance, taiko drum performances by the Japan Self-Defense Force, and food and drink stalls. Yokosuka Museum of Art (2-minute walk from Yokosukabijutsukan/Yokosuka Museum of Art Bus Stop)| 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Closed each months 1st Monday except when it falls on a public holiday) See a wide range of modern art by great masters of the 20th century. SEP 5 WEDNESDAY U.S. Embassy Tokyo Outreach 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.| Community Readiness Center, 2nd Floor The passport, immigrant visa and federal benet units of U.S. Embassy Tokyo will host an outreach for the Yokosuka community. Applications for passports and Consular Report of Birth Abroad will be accepted on a walk-in basis from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Applicants must arrive before 1 p.m. with the appropriate outreach checklist and required items. Please note, the embassy will only accept U.S. Postal Service money orders as payment for services. Main Post Oce will adjust hours and services to help.
