This is not the purpose of the HTW bus. Either the bus drivers need to enforce the priority system (Active duty, DOD civilians going to work and dependents on a space available basis) or there needs to be a second bus running.Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka @cfay_pao @CFAY_Japan yokosukareport@ gmail.comResponse: Active-duty service members do have priority seating on the Ikego HTW bus and shouldn't have been denied a seat due to dependents occupying seats. Our HTW bus service is provided and funded for transporting active-duty service members from Ikego to Yokosuka with other passengers on a space available basis. Our Transportation Division will reemphasize the importance of following this ridership Receive My CFAY Weekly by email! For more information and assistance, please visit: https://www. fvap.gov/ or contact the Voting Assistance Ocer: 243-9626.policy. We also ask for help from our community in following and enforcing these policies. Accordingly, space available passengers are asked to board the a.m. HTW bus at Ikego Stop #5 (Asuka Tower) to support this policy. The CFAY Public Works Department periodically evaluates HTW bus ridership numbers to determine if an additional bus is warranted. Unfortunately, the current active-duty ridership numbers don't justify the addition of extra buses except when USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) is in port. We appreciate your feedback and hope you continue to utilize this service.BIKE LANE MARKINGS New bicycle markings have been painted along Nimitz Blvd. Bike symbols and arrows indicate direction of travel.
