PLANT- QUARANTI NE IMPORT RESTRICTIONS OF THE
REPUBLIC OF COLOMvBIA
Authorized Ports of Entry Decree No. 1008 of May 10, 1939, in effect, practically
recapitulates the provisions of Decree No. 1128, of July 1, 1931 (pages 2 to 4 of B.E.P.Q. 477), but paragraph 2 of Article 1 of Decree No. 1008 prescribes that the inspection of shipments of plant material shall be effected at the ports of Buenaventura and Barranquilla by the agricultural inspectors of Sanidad Vegetal.
The same Decree states that the required import permit
will be issued by the Mlinistry of National Economy instead of by the Department of Agriculture and Commerce.
