The slides were taken on collecting trips sponsored by the William L. Bryant Foundation, where books, music and art indigenous to the regions were gathered. The are organized by geographical location.
General Note:
This image shows Corn Alley in Saint John, Antigua with a parked automobile. The pink and red building, on the right, houses Quin Farara and Company Limited, a liquor merchant. This Quin Farara store is located on the corners of Long Street and Corn Alley in Saint John’s, Antigua. The store’s red doors have the Tuborg logo and beer poster advertisements. Tuborgs Fabrikker, later Tuborg Bryggerier, was founded in Hellerup, Denmark in 1873 by Carl Frederik Tietgen. In 1970, Tuborg was purchased by Carlsberg.
