. FR()\J r rl -IE D1: Betsy V. Boze, College President Hearty congratulations are extended to the 2011 graduates of the School of Nursing & Allied Health Professions! The College's nursing degree and related programmes are central to our mission. Hundreds of graduates ofThe College have assumed critical societal roles in our medical and health care facilities, meeting national and international healthcare needs in a profession of increasing demand. The Nurses' Pinning Ceremony initiated in 2005 as a part of graduation activities, is both a celebration and a commissioning. It is anticipated that the pinning ceremony will remain, even as we transition to university status, ever signalling that the institution has educated, trained and prepared the budding professionals for the workplace and for society. During our ceremony, we proudl y send the students forth to serve, w i th the honour of having gained a special pin which procla ims with apt inscription that they are Educated, Competent and Caring The beautiful pin signifies that our students have made it through a rigorous, high quality programme and are ready for the world. Well done to all of the facilitators of the Pinning Ceremony who are keeping this fine tradition alive! Best wishes to our newest Nursing & Allied Health Professionals. Rev Terrance G.
