ORDER OF SERVICE RECEPTION OF THE BODY With faith in Jesus Christ, we receive the body of our Sister Louise for burial. Our sister Louise was washed in Holy Baptism and anointed with the Holy Spirit. Let us therefore, with confidence, pray to God our Heavenly Father, the Giver of life, that He will raise her to perfection in the company of the Saints. V. The Lord be with you. R. And also with you V. Let us pray. 0 God of grace and glory, we remember before you this day our sister Louise. We thank you for giving her to us, her family and friends, to know and love as a c ompanion on our earthly pilgrimage. In your boundless compassion, console us who mourn. Give us faith to see in death the gate of eternal life, so that in quiet confidence we may continue our course on earth, until, by your call, we are reunited with those who gone before; through Jesus Christ our Lord. ALL: Amen OPENING SENTENCES CELEBRANT: Jesus said, I am the resurrection, and I am the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and who ever lives and believes in me shall never die. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, morning His compassion never fails: every day they are renewed. Jesus said, let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor princip a lities, nor powers, nor things present, northings t o come, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. for to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living We brought nothing into the world, and we take nothing out. The Lord gives, and Lord takes away: Blessed be the name of the Lord. The eternal God is our refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. How can it be That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me? He left His father's throne above So free, so infinite His grace Emptied Himself of all but love And bled for Adam's helpless race; 'Tis mercy all, immense and free; For, 0 my God, it found out me.

CELEBRANT: ALL: The peace of the Lord be always with you. And also with you. FIRST OFFERTORY HYMN ...................................................................................................... "How Great Thou Art" 0 Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder consider all the worlds thy hands have made. I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, thy pow'r throughout the universe displayed Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to thee; how great thou art, how great thou art! Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to thee; how great thou art, how great thou art! When through the woods and forest glades I wander and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees; When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur and hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze; And when I think that God, his Son not sparing, Sent him to die. I scarce can take it in; That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin; When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow in humble adoration and there proclaim, my God, how great thou art! PRESENTATION OF THE OFFERINGS ELEMENTS BEARERS ...... ......... ....... .... .................................. ............... ..................... Tameika Jones (Granddau g ht er) Zuri Dillet (Grandnephew) Gloria Hanna (Friend) CELEBRANT: Through your goodness, Lord, we have this bread and wine to offer, the fruit of the earth and the work of human hands. They will become our spiritual food. ALL: All things come from you, 0 Lord, and of your own do we give you. Blessed be God for ever Amen. SECOND OFFERTORY HYMN ....................... .............. .......................................... "Pleasant Are Thy Courts Above" Pleasant are Thy courts above In the land of light and love; Pleasant are Thy courts below In this land of sin and woe: Oh, my spirit longs and faints For the converse of Thy Saints, For the brightness of Thy face, For Thy fullness, God of grace. Happy birds that sing and fly R ound Thy Altars, 0 most High ; Happie r souls that find a rest In a heavenly Father's breast; Like the wandering dove that found No repose on earth around, They can to their ark repair, And enjoy it ever there. Happy souls, their praises flow Even in this vale of woe;; Waters in the desert rise, Manna feeds them from the skies; On they go from strength to strength, Till they r eac h Thy Throne at length, At Thy feet adoring fall, Who hast led them safe through all. Lord be mine this prize to win, Guide me through a world of sin, Keep me by Thy saving grace, Give me at Thy side a place; Sun and shield alike Thou art, Guide and guard my erring heart; Grace and glory flow from Thee; Shower, 0 shower them, Lord, on me.

Blessed i s He who comes in the Name of the Lord. Hosanna in the Highest. Sovereign Lord and Father, to You be g l ory and praise for ever. In your boundl ess wisdom You brought creation into being: in Your great l ove You fashioned us i n Your image; in Your tender compassion You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Saviour; to share our hum an nature; i n the power of the Holy Spirit, He overcame the power of sin and death and brought Your people to new birth as first fruits of Your new creat ion. On the night that h e was betrayed, he took bread and when He had given thanks to You, he broke it and gave it to His d i sciples and said "Take this and ea t it: Thi s is my Body which is given for you. Do this for the remembrance of Me" And after supper H e took the cup of wine: and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them and said: "Drink this, all of you: This is My Blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for you and for m any for the forgiveness of sins. Whenever you drink it, do this for the remembrance of Me". Therefore, Father, according to His command: We remember His death. We proclaim His resurrection. We await His coming in g l ory. And we offer You Father, o ur sacrifice of than k s and pra i se. Send your H o l y Spir i t on. these gifts of bread and wine that they may become the Bod y and B lood of Your Son, Jesus, o ur Lord and Redeemer.
