IMPORTATION OF QUAIL FROM NORTHEASTERN MEXICO.
NOTICE REGARDING PERMITS.
Under authority of law, notice is hereby given that, until further
order, permits issued or which may be issued under the "Regulations
Governing the Importation of Quail into the United States from
Northeastern Mexico," approved and effective November 13, 1916,
will authorize the entry of such quail only between November 15
and March 31 of the following year, inclusive.
In order to reduce the danger of introduction of quail diseases,
applicants will be required to show that they are qualified to handle
* ,, quail in captivity and are prepared to care for them under approved
sanitary conditions during the period of quarantine. The right is
reserved to issue permits only to those who are properly qualified
and have facilities to care for the birds in accordance with the regu-
lations.

AMENDMENT TO THE REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE IMPORTATION OF QUAIL
FROM NORTHEASTERN MEXICO.
Effective November 15, 1919, Brownsville, Tex., is hereby desig-
nated as a port of entry for quail from Northeastern Mexico, in
addition to the ports of Eagle Pa-s, Tex.; Laredo, Tex.; and New
York, N. Y., designated Iby re-ulation 2 of the "Regulations Gov-
erning the Importation of Quaii into the United State5 from North-
eastern Mexico." and amendmient-, adopted and approved Novenm-
ber 13, 1916, and issued as Service and Regulatory Annloulcelnents.
