DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS FOR FABRICATION HISTORIC ST. AUGUSTINE GOVERNMENT HOUSE The material enclosed along with the construction drawings provided to the Client as of April 16, 1991, represents specifications for the exhibits to be fabricated for the Government House of St. Augustine. The majority of exhibit furniture provided per these documents will be constructed off site and installed at one time as component pieces. All components and wall systems, either latch together or rotor-lock in place; therefore, minimal damage will be done to the site. However, all exhibit furniture will be fastened to floors and walls when necessary, to secure and stabilize. All case and wall systems' dimensions are set per the space. Modification in these areas will be minimal. Final counts for mica panels used in mounting photographic images, copy or shadow boxing small artifacts will be determined by the graphics supplied by the Client and the space available on each wall. All graphics need to be supplied by the Client, no later than May 28, 1991. Final construction of architectural cut-away walls will be built on site in St. Augustine. Hardware to attach these architectural walls to the exhibit furniture will be determined after further consultation with the Client. The coquina lift lever, as illustrated in the Fabrication Drawings, will be constructed per the illustrations provided by the Client that specifies the type of levers used during the period. All designs and materials specified are acceptable and meet museological standards for exhibit design and fabrication.
