Notes

Abstract:
At UF, each digital collection is under the purview of one or more Curators or Program Directors, with collaborative support from the Head of Digital Development & Web Services and/or Digital Humanities Librarian. For scholarly digital projects and archives, teaching faculty partner and collaborate with Curators/Program Directors following the processes for their collections. This documentation provides additional information and resources for data management and data that can be openly available and accessible to the world, is of a reasonable size for the available infrastructure, and is to be retained permanently, because for this, the UF Smathers Libraries have many supports in place for data access and preservation. The Libraries provide support for data with Liaison Libraries who are available for consultation and support on data management, the SobekCM Open Source Technology, and ongoing collaborations (with UF Research Computing and many other groups) for building capacity and adding new supports whenever possible.
