Order: Coleoptera. Family: Scarabaeidae. Subfamily: Cetoniinae. Also known as flower chafers, flower scarabs, and flower beetles. 3,600-3,900 species worldwide.
Diet: Pollen, nectar, flower petals, fruit. Known to pollinate plants in their flight from flower to flower.
Distribution: Found everywhere except Antarctica.
