Notes

Abstract:
Griffin's Greenery and Farm; a 20 acre nursery and estate in Northeast Leon County Florida, exists today as a moderately functioning productive landscape, and a secluded estate for its owner, Amy Griffin. In this project I have transformed this space into a therapeutic resort, while retaining and improving the existing productive and residential facets, through therapeutic design research, thoughtful analysis and the designing of experiences based on story boarding.

The space I have created in this project, is a woven tapestry of experiences and moments, which in the fashion of a classical tapestry, tells a story, your story. Each spatial component is an experience, a small piece of the tale linking and moving the user into the next chapter of themselves. This tapestry of experiences Ive created delivers a healing, autobiographical experience personal to each user, in which the ending The story begins with the user, who arrives worn, ragged and somewhat lost. As they enter this space like no other, novelty ignites I chosen the right path? other path will remain for later exploration if desired. The user begins to understand the same principle can be applied to our own Tired of the possibilities and the lengths one could go, the user embraces rest. The rising sun harkens the next chapter of the users space Ive created keeps one moving, constantly offering small surprises like alternate pathways, sculptures, specimen plants, lush knowing they are in charge of their path, and will only leave it, if they choose too.
