NIBBLING
One of the nicest pasti-
mes in this climate is sit-
ting under the trees or out
on the porch ...a tall, tink-
ling glass in your hand, a
tray of snacks nearby. Fin-
ger food is what you want
for such occasions ... tasty
combinations to pop in your
mouth between sips, to
spread on crackers or dip
up with potato chips.
MUSHROOM EGG
SPREAD '
4 hard- cooked eggs
1/2 can broiled mush-
rooms
2 tablespoons mayonnai-
se
1/2 teaspoon salt
/4 teaspoon pepper
Hard- cook the eggs and,
when cool, chop them in
fine pieces,mixing the yolks
and the whites well toge-
ther. Then .chop up the
mushrooms and mix with
the eggs, stirring in enough
mayonnaise to hold the mix
ture together. Season with
salt and pepper and. spread
on small triangles of thin,
dark bread.
ROQUEFORT
SUPREME
1/2 lb. Roquefort cheese
2 tablespoons cream
I package (3 oz.) cream
cheese
I teaspoon caraway seeds
Mash the Requefort chee
se with a fork and moisten
with cream. Mix with the
cream cheese to form a soft
paste. (Add more cream if
the mix is too stiff.) Stir
in the caraway seeds and
serve the spread on crac-
kers or stuffed in. celery
