Abstract: Video oral history of anthropologist Rosalie Wax conducted by anthropologists Murray Wax and Joan Cassell. Dr. Wax discusses her professors at the University of California-Berkeley who were influential in her career and recalls her fieldwork in a Japanese detention camp in Arizona during World War II and among the Sioux Indians in South Dakota. Video is from the "History of Anthropology" series produced by the University of Florida's Department of Anthropology in conjunction with the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research.
