Germany, Federal Pepublic of TBT Notification 83.106
The German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forestry has proposed an
amendment to the regulation covering feeding stuffs (product covered feeding
stuffs). The specific provisions affected govern the trade in and the
prohibition of feeding stuffs containing noxious substances. The regulation
lays down a maximum content of aflatoxin B in feeding stuffs and provides that
it shall be prohibited to put such products on the market if this content is
exceeded. It furthermore establishes the maximum contents of the alpha and
beta isomers of Hexachlorocyclohexane in feeding stuffs with higher contents
of such noxious substances. The objective and rationale for this proposal is
the protection of public health. Final date for comments is September 6, 1983.
Through the use of computer technology, the Foreign Agricultural
