Foreign Trade Developments

U.S. Food Exhibit in Aruba An exhibit featuring U.S. food products for
the institutional, retail, and further processing trade will be held at
the Aruba Concord Hotel in the Netherlands Antilles, May 15-17. U.S.
products of opportunity for the exhibit include a wide range of beef,
veal and pork products, luncheon and canned meats, poultry products,
fresh processed and dried fruits, and vegetables, juices, dairy products,
bakery products, wines, and snack foods. The Netherlands Antilles was
a $28 million market in 1977 for U.S. consumer ready products. Food
buyers from the Caribbean, Northern Tier of South America, and Central
America will also be present. Forty U.S. exhibitors can be accommodated
on a first-come, first-serve basis. Companies or agents with new-to-
market products with sales potential for the area are especially encouraged
to participate. Immediately following the Aruba exhibit, sales team
visits are planned for Curacao, May 21 & 22, and either Maracaibo,
Venezuela or St. Maartens, Netherlands Antilles, May 24 & 25. The
participation fee for the exhibit is only $200. FAS services to exhibitors
include an exhibit stand, VIP reception, trade lounge, publicity, trade

Singapore Hotel, Restaurant, Institutional Fast Food Show. The Cahners
Publishing Company is sponsoring what is billed as the first all-U.S./
Southeast Asia Hotel, Restaurant, Institutional Fast Food Show in Singapore,

and a hotel-restaurant management conference will be held in conjunction
