Upcoming imports by Turkey of vegetable oil and tallow: The government of
Turkey has decided to import 75,000 mt of vegetable oil and/or equivalent of
oilseeds and also 25,000 mt tallow according to a decree published in official
Gazette DTD. Feb. 14, 1980. Some of the vegetable oil and oilseeds will be
imported by the Unions of Marketing Cooperatives such as Taris (Tarim Statis
