Foreign Trade Developments:

U.S. Food Exhibit in Santiago, Chile. Commercial firms are invited to participate
in an Attache Food Product Display to be held in the Carrera Sheraton Hotel, Santi-

where the present market does not support a large solo exhibit, but which holds
promise as a future sizable market outlet for U.S. food products. U.S. food
products with the most promising market potential include variety meats: processed
turkey, turkey rolls, poultry, luncheon meats, vegetable protein products, snack
foods, vegetable oil products, mayonnaise, salad dressings, cake and pastry mixes,
baby food, spices, cheese products, canned vegetables; concentrated fruit juices,

Poland grain facilities. The agricultural attache in Poland has reported
an interest in a port elevator for 100,000 mt storage at Gdynia, feed mill

Middle East Sales Team. A sales team made up of no more than 10 sales
executives representing U.S. food exporters of non-competing product
lines, will be visiting cities in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and
Kuwait, during the period, May 4-16, 1979. This sales team is designed to
bring together foreign buyers and new to the product U.S. sellers. U.S.
food products with the most sales potential are pulses, beef, poultry,
frozen goods, canned fruit juices, canned fruits and vegetables, snack
foods, fast foods, soft drinks and confectionaries. Participation will
be on a first come first-served basis and valid ONLY upon receipt of a
signed participation form AND a check for $200. Reservations cannot be
