year for the Union, the President
Indicated. He pointed out that
during the past year the Credit
Union adopted a Xmas Club
Savings Plan which paid out over
$2,000 during the XmsA week.
Also shareholdings which re-
present savings of the members
are approximately $13,000 at the
present time.
The total loans during the past
year amounted to $15,000. Mem-
bership grew from 315 last De-
cember to 453.

help Elizabeth Dickens, orni-
thologist conduct the annual
Block Island bird census. The
census-takers counted 1,753 in-
dividuals of 37 species.
