ghetto mentality, let alone habital. Somehow we'll have

Greater Miami Reverses A Trend
Or.e of the most ei features ol thu r's Com-
Jewish AppeaMsrce! Emergency Fund Campaj
: ae been -he success oi the ret n. Cities
ever the country long ago gave up the attempt to cover
~.ds oi Jewish homes with volunteer workers and
concentrated their campaigns on the easily identified tradts
and professional people.
Under the leadership of a dedicated group of volun-
teers. Greater Miami has reversed the trend. The amazing
development of "high-rises" in the area certainly helped,
but it is to the credit oi the Federation's professional staff
and the lay workers that they organized so well and
covered so much territory this year.
Given the inspiration oi this new-found source of
philanthropic support, we urge those in the trades and
professions to bend every effort toward bringing the 1969
campaign to a successful close. The community needs such
success; Israel does, too.

Yours is the greatest story ever
told. It has never stopped unfolding.
And most incredible of all, it lives-
more energetically, younger, more
bravely tharrever perhapsin the
people of Israel today.
You and your family won't be
tourists in Israel even though you
may seek out extraordinary sights
Hke the Grottos of Phoenicia in Rosh
Hantkra, where you descend by
cable car to the greens and blues
and blacks of natural caverns carved
by Mediterranean tides.
You won't be tourists if you stop
to watch a few Hasidim dreamily
dancing or if you picnic on the gentle
lawns sloping down to the pools at
the foot of Mount Gilboa. You won't
be strangers because you are a part
of these people and their friendly joy.
You will live like them and with them.
You'll want to hear Pablo Casals
perform his own El Pessebre at the
August Festival of Music and Drama.
You'll swim, dance, sun with the
people, share their fascination with
biblical sites, go on an archeological
expedition if you wish. Perhaps "
you'll attend the World Conference
of Jewish lawyers and jurists from
August 24 to 28. You'll cheer at the
8th Maccabia, where the world's
athletes will compete in Olympic
class games.
Every experience from the
sounds of the Sabbath drifting
over Jerusalem on a Friday night
to the beat of a rock band in Tel Aviv,
from ancient alleys to sunlit
waters, skin-diving, water skiing
every moment will tell you something
about yourselves. Every experience
will bring your family closer to-
gether. Because Israel is a place you
have always been part of and
needed only to know better.
It's time to bring the family home.
