OUR FRONTISPIECE
In expressing the thought of a
New Year coming in and the old
one departing, the artist
portrays them as burning can-
dles; the year 5693 about to
pire. and the year 5604 just be-
ginning to burn brightly. In the
foreground the patriarch, so
alike unto the Fathers of old.
stands solemnly in the ton -
ground Bounding the call to the
Jewish people heard throughout
the world on "Rash H
Bui as a true Jew who weld
the future, he forgets not the
beginnings of our people, and in
the background one sees the
"Tomb of Rachel." venerated by
Jews and I I alike.

could no longer resist the appeal
made to them.
