1Mrs. Zora Neale Hurston
Eau Gallie, Fla.

Dear Mr~s. Hurston:

This afternoon MBr. Walter O'Malley, President of
the Brooklyn Dodgers who train here, asked me to come out
and watch some of the boys practicing.

When I saw these fine colored boys out there making
such a good showing I thought about you and thought there
might be a possibility of you writing an article about them.

I told MEr. Ot'Malley about you and he said he would
be tickled to death to cooperate with YOU if you sawR fit to
write on ar-tic~le. He told me to have y~ou contact Frank Graham,
in care of the Brooklyn Dodgers, Vero Beach. I: assume that
he is head of their pubicity or public relations or adver-
tising department. I have not met Mir. Graharm;

br. O'Mablley said he was going to New York and
would be back in a week or ten days.

"This is just a thought and if you want to follow
it, very well.

With kind regards,

Sincerely ye s

W. E. Sexton
