Dear, dear Fr~iend:
I have been made very unhappy, Only yesterday your parcel
was delivered to me, but it had been opened and robbed. The
containers were still there, but everything you sent had been
removed except three poet cards, 1. Woman's head of bronze,
Benin, 2, :Mask used at funerals, 3 woman and childI an en-
raemed at the brazen theft of the things you sent me. I am de-
manding an investigation by the Federal Bu~reau of Investigation.
It occurred at either the Customs Inspection or at the Post
I am writing to Martin Anderson, owner-publisher of the
OlRLANDO SENTINEEL-STAR, Orlando, Florida, to send you a photo of
me. He has some on hand for that purpose, Perhaps it will be
well if you made the request also a~nd make .him realize the ur-
gency and get it to you quickly, M~y book seems to have been
delayed a whole month~ in transit, It should have come to you
about March 16, I d~o not know if Lippincott has still some
copies of a sketch by the noted arrtist Schrieber of me.
Mky hope is to leave Eau Gallie by thle end of this week.
Possibly I shall go jto Miami, Florida I will advise you im-
May you have every success for yourself in the articles
on mer I am trying to promote a tour of Europe by me with a
concert group, and if I get the assent, I shall wiErite you
at once so that if there is any way that you can share in
it, you ca~n profit by it.
