GROWERS AND SHIPPERS LEAGUE OF PLORIDA
The undersigned charter members of this corporation not
for profit shall be known as GROWERS 4ND SHIPPERS LEAGUE OF
P: FLORIDA hereby associate themselves together and hereby propose
the following articles of incorporation
The name of this corporation shall be the GROWERS AND
SHIPPERS LEAGUE 07 FLORIDA, and its office and principal place of
Business shall be Orlando- Florida.
The general nature and object of this corporation is to
handle all important questions which effect the citrus fruit and
vegetable industries in Florida as a whole, such as the shipper's
right to control routing; railroad and refrigeration rates; general
;1 rules and regulations governing railroad claims; custom tariffs
and other governmental relations; State and Federal legislation
which applies directly to the citrus fruit and vegetable industrieA
of Florida; and other questions of a general nature which effects
the upbuilding of these industries without reference to the various
methods of marketing*
Any person, firm or corporation interested in the fruit
I; or vegetable industry of Florida may become a member of this

League upon proper application and election by the Board of

of initiation fee of Ten Dollars (10.O00), and by thenceforth
paying the assessment s of the League for its purposes.
The term of the existence of this organization shall be
" for fifty (50) years from the date of approval pf this charter by
the Judge of the Circuit Court.

The members of the first Board of Directors shall assume
their duties upon approval of this charter and shall continue in
office for one year or until their successors shall have been duly
elected, accepted, office and qualified.

The affairs of this corporation shall be actively admin-
istered by an Executive Committee of five (6) members elected by
the Board of Directors from its members. The President of this
association shall ex-officio be an additional member of said Execu-
tive Committee and shall preside as Chairman, and in his absence
the First Vice President or a member of the Committee shall pre-
side in his stead, Not less than four (4) of said Committee shall
constitute a quorum. The following shall e members of the said
Executive Committee for the ensuing year and until their successors
shall be duly elected and qualified:

The voting power of members of this association as exer-
cised at annual or special meetings shall be in proportion to the
number of dollars in money which they shall theretofore have paid
in cash into the treasury of this association as assessments. This
provision shall not be altered, amended or repealed except by the
unanimous written consent or the vote of all the members.
The names of the officers who are to manage all the
affairs until the first election or appointment under the charter
are those names in Section 6 above, and in addition thereto the
L. B. Skinner of Dunedin, Florida shall be President, L. W. Tilden
of Tildenville, Plorida shall be Vioe-President, and J. Curtis
Robinson of Orlando, Florida, shall be Secretary-Manager..

The by-laws of this corporation shall be made, altered
or rescinded by two-third4 vote of the Board of Directorso
The highest amount of indebtedness or liability which
this corporation may at any time be subject to shall be fifty
