The Caribbean Up close Picture/Poster/Advertisement Write the story behind the visual. The student should write why the visual was created and why it was important to capture that visual. Make sure students are historically correct in their stories. If there are any people in the visual, ask students to write as if they were that person. What are they thinking, whet were they doing before and after. Make sure students are historically correct in their stories. Guess who ask students to guess information about the visual who is the person, where is the visual from, what is in the background, what is the person’s occupation, what is the person’s social status. If it is an AD ask students to compare ad to one for today. Are they using the same selling strategies, what colors they use, how do they use product placement. Artifact Ask students to write as if they were that object they are to write about how they feel, what they see and why they are so important. Classify the artifacts for the whole class students are to create the categories and explain their classification. Ask students to figure out who the artifact was put together or to figure out all the materials and tools used to make the artifact.
