ER 7 COWPEA

ER 7 COWPEA

ER 7 is a short-season, determinate variety with an erect growth
habit. It flowers after 40 days and matures in about 60 days. The
flowers are predominantly white with some purple
pigmentation. The seed is of medium size with cream-coloured,
rough seed coat. The eye is brown and clearly delineated. The
plant has elongated peduncles which bear the pods above the
crop canopy, thus facilitating harvest. The variety appears to
have some degree of tolerance to thrips but is susceptible to yet
unspecified cowpea mosaic virus.
