compliance w~ithi the prov-isions of T'itle I of the Nlt~ional Industr~ial
Recovery Act, approved June loi, 1933, for approval of muodification
to the 'odle of Fair C'ompIettitin for the Fur Dealing Tra~de, and
opportunity to b~e healrdl havingf been afforded~ all members of said
Industry, andt the aInnexedl report. on. said modification, containing
rfnindins' with~ r~espec~t there'to, h~aving been made and directed to the
President:
W\HEREAS~, the Cod~e of Fai: Competition for the F~ur Dealing
Trade, as apprlovedl onl April 4, 1934, continued in Section 1 of Article
II of said Code thec follo~ineS definition of thle Trade:

WVHEREAS, aIpplication has7 b~een madle for approval of certain
amnendments to the above mlentionedd Codej, including a am iendment
deleting thle last sentence of Section 1 of Article ~II of said Code,
and a public hearing has beeni duly held thereon, and,
WVHEREAS, the fur br~oker~s and nuctioneers who deal mainly for
the account of others number appr1oximnately 50, and th~e fur dealers
w~ho dleal mnainly for their own account lnumber approximately 1,750,
and
W~HEREAS, all mc~lembes of the Trande, includlingr fur auctioneers
andl brokers, are eng~agedl in the business of buying anld selling fur
skins; that they purchase fromn the saml~e sources of supply and sell
to the same customers in direct competition with each other,
NOWC, THEREF;ORE, we find that fur bro-kersi and auctioneers
are engaged inl the samrle business as the mnembers~ of the Fur ~Deal-
ing Trade who deal in fur!s mnainly on their own account, and, there-

fore, constitute the somne trade or industry within the meaning and
intent of Sectionl 3-A of Title I of the National Industrial Recovery
Act, andl that thle trade associations which mande appllication for
the Codle of Fair C'ompettition for the Fur Dealing~ Trade are truly
repr~eiseintaive of the Tra1de as dlefinerd in thle first sentence of Section
1 orf Arlticle II o! :said Codle, andl thatb in order to promote the policy

to those members who1 ar'e not nowF r'llepres7ented
