ACIPPROV\ING AM~ENtDMENUT OF CODE OF FAIR COMPETITION FOR THEI
ELECTRIC HOIST AN'D MONORAIL MANUTFACTURING INDUSTRYL
An application having been duly made p~l.ursunt to and in full
compliance with the provisions of Title I of the N~ational Industrial
Recovery Act, approved June 16, 1933, for approval of an amendment
to a Code of Fair Competition for the Electric H~oist and Monorail
blanufacturing Industry, and notice of opportunity to be heard
thereon having been duly published, and the annexed report on said
amendment, containing findings with respect thereto, having been
made and directed to the President:
NOW, THEREFORE, on behalf of the President of the United
States, the National Indiustrial Recovery Board, pursuant to author-
ity rested in it by Executive orders of the President, including Exec-
utive Order No. 6859, dated September 27, 1934, and otherwise; does
hereby incorporate, by reference, said aInnexed report and does find
that said amnendmennt and the Code as constituted after being
amended comply in all respects with the pertinent provisions and
will promote the policy and purposes of said title of said Act, and
does hereby order that said amendment be and it is hereby approved,
and that t~he previous approval of said Code is hereby amended to
include an approval of said Code in its entirety as amended.

THE ELECTRIC HOIST AIND MIONORAILT M~ANUFAC-
Pursuant to Article XII, Sec~tionI 2 of the Code of Fair Coml-
petition for the Electric Hoist and M~onoratil M\anufalcturingl In-
dulstry, duly approved by the Admlinistrator on July 13, 1934-, and
further to effectuate the policies of Title I of the National Indulstrial
Recovery~ Act, the followving amienidmnte is established as a part
of said Code of Fair Colmpetition and shall be binding upon every
muember of the E~lectric H~oist andc MTonor~ail MaInulfactu~l~rm Industry.
AdlRTICL~E VI D M1I ISrTR AT I ON
Amend Article VI, by deleting Sulbsectionl (a), LSec~tionl 1, and
rewvordinlg lbsec~tion (a) to read as follows:
(a) During the period not to, exceedl sixty days following the ef-
fective dante of this code, the Code Committ~ee of thne Eleictric ]Hlost
Ma~ll~ncufacturer Association andi the Mlonorail Manulrfnetureres Asso-
ciation shall constitute a temporary Code Authlorityr consisting of
six mlemlbers, and one to three additional miemibers, writhiout vote, to
be appointed by the Nat ional Industrial Recoveryr Boa rd, i-f it should
so desire. Such temp~lorary Code A~uthorit~y shall, within sixty day~s
of the effecctive: date, set up a permanent Code Authority to su~cceed
surchl temporaryl~ Code Aultho~lrity in effectuntinlg the po'liic~ie o~f the
~Act and to c~oopcrate with the NCational Industrial Reco~ver~y Board
in the admnii~i~niotain of the Code.
The permanent Code Au~thor~ity shall con-liist of seven~ members of
th Industryy' Ant least three memllbers of the Code AuthorityT shall
be principally e~ngaged in the manulllfac~ture' of Electric Hoi-tslf; at
least three mnemlbers of the Code Aulthlorit y shall be pr1inicipally cn-
gnge in the manufacture of Miioinoil Eqiuipmelrl; nt; at least one
mnember of the Code Authority shall be a non~r-memllber of the EIlectric
H-loist Manufacturers Assuciation or the M~onorail Manul~facturers~
Acsoc.inti<>n who is engng~e d in. the! manullfalcture of either E~lectric
Hoists or Mlonorail Equllipmennt.
The Code Authority shall be elected at a weettingF of emlployers
cnlledl by the Electric Hoist. Mlalllnufal~cturers ,Lsc~~iato n andi the
