An application having been duly made pu~rsuant to and in full

Recovery Act, approved June 16i, 1933, for approval of an amend-

alnnexed. report on. said amllendiment, containing findings with respect
thleretor, h-aving been made and directed to the Pre~idenlt-:
NOWi, THIEREFORE, on behaslf of the P~residlent of the United
States, the National Indiustrial RI(-ove yI3 Board, pursuant to author-
ity vortedl in it by -Ex;ecutivle O~rders of thle Presiden~lt, including
Executive Or~der No. 6359, and otherwise, does hereby incorporate,
by reference, said annexed rep-ort and does find that said amendment
and the Code as constituted after being amnlcll:d d comply in all
respects with thle pertinent provisions and will promote the policy
and Jpurposes of said TLitle of said Act, and does hereby order that
,said- amendmelcnt, be and it is hereby arpprovedi-, and that the previous
approval of said Code! is herebay amended to include an approv~al of
said Code in its entirety as amnl-d:~ ed; Iprovidfed thrat the application
of this smendownt11 shall not apply to bona fide independent distr~ib-
utors who purchase from manufacturers and who have no inter-
corporate affiliations withl members of the Industry, either directly
or throucgh a community of ownership atnd control, such approval
and such amendment to take effect twenty (20) days from the date
hereof, unless good cause to the con~trary1 is shown to the National
Industrial Recovery Board before that time and said Board issues a
subsequent order to that eff~ect.

SIR. This is a report on an amndment~rlli to the Code of Fair Com-
petition for the Comlmercial Refriglerator Industry. A public hear-
ingr was held thereon in Wanr~hingrton, D>. C. on. MaIy 15, 1934, in a~c-
cordance with the provisions of the! National Industrial Rc~overyS
The purpose of the amlendmlent is to promote fair competition by
I-prohibiting indirect violations of the Code.
The Aissistant Deputy Adm~inistraLtor in his final report to thre
National Industrial Recovery B3oardl on the said annondment1!:lf to said
CodeE having found as herein set forth, and on the basis of all the
proeedingrs ine this matter:

AMENDMENT` TO CODE OF FAIR COMiPETITION FOR THIE
COMMJERCIALT RtEFRIGERA~T~TO INDUSTRY
Pursuant to ,Article VI, Section 1_0 (h) of the Code of Fair Com-
petition for the Comm1nercial Refr~igerator Industry, duly approved
by the President on Deccemberl~: 23, 1933, and further to effectuat~e
thne policies of Title I of the National Industrial Recovery Act, the
following amendment is established as a part of said Code of Fair
Competition and shall be binding upon every member of the Com-
mercial Refrigoerator Industry.

Add to Article VII: the following Rule 18:
Rule 18. No mnembr of the industry shall sell to or through. any
distributor, dealer, jobber, ag~enlt, representative or other type o
distribution outlet, that does not agree to comply with the provi-
sions of this Article VII and Article VIII of this Code. Approval
by: the Presidecnt or his atuthorized agent of a. Codle for such dis-
tributors, which would prohibit such. distr~ibutors~ fromr en:ter1ing into
such agreement, would te rmi n a t the operation of this R(ule.
