A U G U S T 11, 1986

During the week of August 4-August 8, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's
Agricultural Marketing Service announced 4 commodity purchases totaling
33,054,000 pounds at a cost of $15,433,000.
The purchases were: frozen cut-up chicken and chicken products; beef
patties (100% beef and patties with vegetable protein); green beans (canned
and frozen); and frozen beef carcasses (purchased by the Commodity Credit
Corporation (CCC)). Offers for frozen boneless beef were rejected.
Offers were invited for: frozen cut-up chicken and chicken products;
frozen beef patties; frozen boneless beef; and frozen beef carcasses.
