During the week of Fe p-3 the U.S. Department of Agriculture's
Agricultural Marketing ServiTle--anfounced 3 commodity purchases totaling
5,886,562 pounds at a cost of $6,833,000.
The purchases were: bulk frozen ground beef, canned tuna; and frozen
fried batter/breaded chicken patties. The bulk frozen ground beef program is
completed.
All purchases were for school lunch and other domestic feeding programs
with the bulk going to the school lunch program.
Offers were invited for: canned tuna, canned beef; and chicken patties.
