Notes

Abstract:
The Battle of Yingkou or Gyuso was the last battle on mainland China in the war. Capturing the city took 24 days. The Japanese encountered resistance outside the city at first, but the city was taken in fierce street-by-street fighting. After capturing the city, the Japanese proceeded to bombard the city of Tianzhuangtai on the opposite bank of The Liao River which they leveled to the ground.
