June llth, 1940.

Mr. Bill Carleton,
University of Florida,
Gainesville, Fla.

Dear Bill:

Dean Matherly made a good speech at the
Postal Convention, and I appreciate your sugges-
tion that we have him come. I was especially
anxious for you to be with us if possible, and
it is too bad that you were prevented from
being here. You may expecS another call before
so very long, howeve-, as we need good speakers
over this way quite often.

I will certainly be glad to see you
and have a long talk with you at the first op-
-ortunity. I may be in Gainesville during the early
Part of next month, and I shall certainly look you
up. In the meantime, if you can come to -allahassee,
there is nothing I would anticipate with more
pleasure than have you out to the house and stay
awhile with us. I have quite a large family now -
a boy six anir a girl two. I would like for you to
know them.

LeRoy C
