Fondation de la Mission En 1906, le Vicaire Apostolique decida de commencer
de KABGAYI (Peers Blancs)l'evangelisation du Ruanda Central; suivant sea instructions
le Pere Lecoindre et le Frere Fulgence, bient6t r joints
par le Pere Deabrosses, install'rent une station le 9 mai
1906 dans la province du Marangara, a KABWAYI (desormais
designee sous le nom de "KABGAYI"(o).

(0) L'orthographe grammaticale est evidemment KABWAYI, mais en
raison d'une tendance phonetique a la guturalisation des labiales,
co=nune a tous les indigenes du centre du Ruanda, l'usage a pr6valu
d'6crire "KABGAYI".
