combat terrible, rest'rent parni les mort's. Seuls un
officer et queliqus cavaliers, echappes au massacre, en
apporterent la fatale nouvelle.

au Caire pour demander
d'urgence des renforts
militaires; sa requete
est appuyee par tous les

Bey et de son regiment noir
(25.XII.1881)


Le parti militaire egyptien
a'oppose au depart de ces
forces, croyant que c'etait
un pr4texte pour exiler une
parties des troupes compro-
mises dans la rexolte
d'ARABI-Pacha.
