UFDC provides free access to over 500 digital collections from over 90 partners for a total of over 7 million pages of unique manuscripts and letters, antique maps, rare books, newspapers, photographs, oral histories, scholarly curated collections, and more. UFDC provides the central technology supporting many digital scholarship and digital humanities projects. Supports include: Full, free, and optimized online access for all materials Guaranteed ongoing access and full digital preservation of all materials Permanent links with full attribution for all materials Support for all material types Permissions based model for contributed materials Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC) model and tools for distributed collection contributions Digital collections and digital project materials support as subject/theme based collections All materials in UFDC can be cross listed in any/all other collections Support for project based needs: digital scholarship collections and curated materials; online exhibits; collections of teaching materials; collaborative partnerships; promotion and outreach Digital Humanities Project Examples using UFDC & the Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC) Curated Collections and Experiments: Law Library Microform Consortium Haitian Law Project All Jamaica Library Cuban and Mexican Film Collection and exhibit Women in Development Archive of Architecture in Ghana Radical Women in Gainesville E.
