AN ORDINANCE to amend the Crown Lands Ordinance, 1878.

[ 30th December, 1913. ]

BE it enacted by the Governor, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council of Saint Lucia, as follows:--

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Crown Lands Ordin- short title
ance, 1878, Amendment Ordinance, 1913, and shall be read and
construed as one with the Crown Lands Ordinance, 1878.

2. (1) It shall be lawful for the Governor to place under the
management of an officer appointed for the purpose, any of the
Crown Lands known as "Reunion," - Valois," "Cleonne,"
"Le Riche" and " Campagnotte" situate in the Quarter of
Choiseul, and any other portions of Crown Lands, as the Gover-
nor may think fit.
(2) The Governor in Council may from time to time make
regulations for establishing and regulating a system by which
such lands can be held or owned by small proprietors, for regu-
lating the administration and disposal of such lands and the
conditions as to the tenure and cultivation of such portions
of such lands as may be allotted under the system aforesaid, and
for regulating all matters connected therewith or incidental
thereto. Any such regulations may provide that the Governor
in Council may, in case of breach of any of the conditions of
tenure or cultivation prescribed thereunder. order forfeiture of
all rights under the system thereby regulated, without any
appeal from such order to any Court whatsoever.
(3) Regulations made under section seven of the Crown
Lands Ordinance, 1878, Amendment Ordinance, 1890, shall
apply to any Crown Lands in respect of which regulations are
made under this section except in so far as such first mentioned
regulations may be repugnant to or inconsistent with regula-
tions made under this section.
