AN ORDINANCE to amend the Savings Bank Ordinance,
1903.
[ 30th December, 1913. ]

BE it enacted by the Governor, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council of Saint Lucia, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Savings Bank Ordin- short title.

2. The following proviso shall be added to subsection two of
section six of the Savings Bank Ordinance, 1903:-
" Provided that the sum on deposit on account of a regis-
tered Friendly Society may amount to, but shall not
exceed, four hundred pounds."


Addition to section 3. The following proviso shall be added to subsection four of
1 (4) of No. 14 of section ten of the Savings Bank Ordinance, 1903 :-
" Provided that interest shall accrue on any sum on deposit
on account of a registered Friendly Society which does
not exceed two hundred pounds."


Addition to section
26 of No. 1 of 1903.

4. The following paragraph shall be added to section twenty-
five of the Savings Bank Ordinance, 1903:-
" 'Registered Friendly Society' means a Friendly Society
duly registered in accordance with the provisions of the
Friendly Societies Ordinance, 1896, or any Ordinance
amending or substituted for the same."
