AN ORDINANCE to
No. 29 of 1915.
amend the Revised Edition of the Laws
[ 29th December, 1915. ]
BB it enacted by the Governor, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council of Saint Lucia, as follows:-

Amendment Ordinance, 1915.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Revised Edition of the
Caws Ordinance, 1913, Amendment Ordinance, 1915, and shall
be read and construed as one with the Revised Edition of the
Laws Ordinance, 1913, hereinafter called the principal
2. Subsection (2) of Section 7 of the principal Ordinance is
hereby repealed, and the following subsections substituted
(2) Immediately on the publication of the proclamation
the new edition shall become and be, without any question,
in all Courts of Justice and for all purposes whatsoever,
the sole authentic edition of the Statute Law of the Colony
in force on the first day of January, 1916.
(3) Nothing herein shall affect the Civil Code, or Code
of Civil Procedure, the Criminal Code, or Code of Criminal
Procedure, or any Ordinances purporting to authorise or
amend the said Codes or any provisions thereof, or any of
the Ordinances specified in the First Schdule hereto as
intended to be incorporated in some one or other of the
said Codes, but the said Codes and Ordinances and all
statutory amendments or modifications thereof shall continue
to be in force until the publication and proclamation of
the revised edition of the said several Codes."
3. Section 11. of the principal Ordinance is hereby repealed,
and the following section substituted therefore:
There shall be issued, as supplementary to the revised
edition of the Ordinances, a volume containing all local
Orders in Council, Proclamations, Rules and Regulations
in force on the said first day of January, 1916."
4. The Governor may by warrant addressed to the Treasurer
direct the payment of all expenses of and incidental to the
preparation and publication of the revised edition.
5. The Ordinances mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto
are hereby repealed.
6. There shall be omitted from the revised edition all statutory
provisions or regulations which are expressed or purport to
remain in force only during the continuance of the present war,
but the said statutory provisions and regulations shall continue
to be in force notwithstanding their omission from the said
