AN ORDINANCE to provide for the payment of fees in respect
of Certificates of Naturalization granted and other matters
done in this Colony, and for providing a penalty for false
representation or statement under and for the purposes of
the Imperial British Nationality and Status of Aliens
[ 23rd October, 1915. ]
BE it enacted by the Governor,.with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council of Saint Lucia, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the British Nationality
and Status of Aliens (Fees) Ordinance, 1915.
2. The Governor in Council may make regulations with
respect to the fees to be paid in respect of the grant of any
certificate of naturalization authorised to be granted in this
Colony by the Imperial British Nationality and Status of
Aliens Act, 1914, and in respect .of the administration of the
oath of allegiance in respect thereof, and in respect of the
registration of any such certificate or oath of allegiance, and
generally with respect to the fees to be paid in respect of any
matter authorised by the said Act to be done by the Govern-
ment of this Colony.
3. The fees in the Schedule to this Ordinance shall be in
force until rescinded, varied, or amended by regulations made
under the preceding section.
4. All fees paid under this Ordinance shall be paid into the
Treasury for the public uses of the Colony.
5. If any person, for any of the purposes of the Imperial
British Nationality and Status of Aliens Act, 1914, makes any
false representation or any statement false in a material
particular, he shall, on summary conviction, be liable in
respect" of each offence to imprisonment for any term not
exceeding three months.
6. The Naturalization Ordinance, 1901, No. 6 of 1901, is

has been dissolved, and the registration of the certificate

Of the fee of 5 payable in respect of the grant of a certificate of naturalization,
2 shall be payable on the submission of the application for a certificate, and shall in
no circumstances be returned; the remaining 3 shall be payable on the receipt of
the decision to grant a certificate.
