AN ORDINANCE to amend the Colonial Court of Admiralty
Ordinance, 1909.
[ 27th March, 1915. ]

BE it enacted by the Governor, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council of Saint Lucia, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Colonial Court of Short title.

Appeals.


Commencement.


2. (1) In causes where neither the owner of the vessel or
property to which the cause relates, nor any party to the cause,
is domiciled or ordinarily resident within the jurisdiction, the
appeal, if any, shall lie to His Majesty in Council and not to the
Windward Islands Court of Appeal.
(2) In other causes the appeal, if any, shall lie to the Wind-
ward Islands Court of Appeal.
(3) All such appeals to His Majesty in Council or to the
Windward Islands Court of Appeal shall be governed by the
law for the time being in force relating to such appeals.
(4) This section shall operate retrospectively.

3. This Ordinance shall not come into operation unless and
until the Governor notifies by Proclamation that it is His
Majesty's pleasure not to disallow the same, and thereafter it
shall come into operation upon such day as the Governor shall
notify by the same or any other Proclamation.
