IMPORTANT NOTICE

TO PURCHASERS OF EVERGLADE FARMS
IN DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA.



Purchasers of [arms on our payment plan, may
pay as many months in advance:as desired, and credit
will be given for number of months paid for. For
example: if you are paying 85.00 or $1000 per
month and you remit $15.00 or $30.00 in one pay-
ment we will credit your account with current pay-
ment and two advance payments,..and" ou need not
send another remittance for three months. You may,
however, send as much as you can spare every
month in excess of your regular payment, and thus
pay for your farm in shorter time than your contract
calls for.
A great number of our farm purchasers pay just
as much each month as they can afford, over and
above the regular payment. This is a good plan, as
one never knows just when reverses may come, and
in case they do, one is then fully protected by the
advance payments. By following this plan, you will
have all your payments made before you realize it
yourself.

said Corporation, who have organized under the name of OKEE-

LANTA PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION, for the purpose of preserving,

protecting and enforcing the rights of said Corporation and

its stockholders against any and all persons, including the

officers and directors of said corporation, and for the pur-

pose of procuring efficient management and direction of said

Corporation to the end that the interest of the Corporation

and its stockholders may be promoted; and,


WHEREAS, WM. L. ALEXANDER, G. C. BANTZ, S. W. BOL-

LINGER, LAURA V. McCULLOUGH, J. A. ROSTAN, WM. H. SAMPSON and

THOS. E. WILL have been duly appointed as a Committee and

have been and are hereby duly authorized to have and exercise

in their discretion all the rights and powers of the respec-

tive stockholders or persons who are members of said OKEELANTA

PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION, including the undersigned; to take

all measures and do all such acts as said Committee may deem

proper in the interest of the members of said Association,

or any of them, and said corporation; to request or consent

to any corporate action of said Corporation; to maintain any

a quorum, and that said Committee is empowered to act by

vote of the majority of the members present at any meeting

of which not less than twenty-four hours' notice by letter

or telegram shall be given or unless such notice shall be

waived, or by a writing signed by a majority of the members

without a meeting, and to fill any vacancy in its number by

vote or written appointment of the remaining members;


NOW, THEREFORE, in order to secure to said Com-

mittee, or any attorney or person employed by it, the pay-

ment of all expenses now or hereafter incurred or assumed by

said Committee in the performance of its duties, including

all counsel or attorneys' fees, I hereby assign, transfer

and set over to said WM. L. ALEXANDER, G. C. BANTZ, S. W.

BOLLINGER, LAURA V. McCULLOUGH, J. A. ROSTAN, WM. H. SAMP-

SON, and THOS. E. WILL, or their successor or successors,

constituting members of said Committee, all stock owned by

the undersigned or to which the undersigned may be entitled

in said THE OKEELANTA CORPORATION or which may be hereafter

issued to the undersigned, including the annexed certifi-

cates of stock numbered and of the

capital stock of said THE OKEELANTA CORPORATION;

SUBJECT, HOWEVER, to the following terms and

conditions:


1. The amount secured by the lien hereby created

or to be created by said Committee under the terms hereof

shall in no event exceed thirty-three and one-third per cent

(33 1/3%) of the value of said stock or the proceeds thereof,

and shall not exceed the pro rata share of the undersigned of

the total amount of such expenses.


2. Said Committee shall have the power to deposit

or pledge the stock or rights hereby assigned as collateral

security for any moneys borrowed by it and/or as collateral

security for any liabilities incurred by it, to the extent of

an undivided one-third (1/3) interest therein, but there shall

be no personal liability on the part of the undersigned for

any action undertaken or expense incurred by said Committee,

but said Committee and all persons to whom any liabilities may

be incurred hereunder shall look solely to the security of the

stock or rights hereby assigned for the reimbursement of such

expenses or the enforcement of such liabilities which are

hereby made a charge upon the stock and rights hereby as-

signed, or at any time held hereunder, pro rata.

Florida, under that certain deed of trust from the Florida

Everglades Land Company to T. J. Champion, H. F. Chapman and

G. C. Bantz, Trustees, dated April 12th, 1912, and recorded

in Deed Book 22, page 41, of the public records of Palm

Beach County, Florida, and the Charter of said THE OKEELANTA

CORPORATION, which stock has never been issued or delivered

to the undersigned or anyone thereunto duly authorized; and,


WHEREAS the undersigned has agreed to and does

hereby co-operate, unite and join with certain stockholders

of THE OKEELANTA CORPORATION and other persons entitled to

stock of said Corporation, who have organized under the name

of OKEELANTA PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION for the purpose of pre-
