Mr. Thomas E. Wills,
Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Dear Mr. Wills,-
Will you be kind enough to ascertain for me the
taxes due on twelve acres in Palm Beach County belonging to ,
the estate of the late Mr. J. S. Comins, purchased from Fruit
Crest Association, krown as holdings 62 and 63, Section 27,
Township 44,S Range 36 E.
It has been sole little time since I have heard
from you. I expect soon to be in Florida and want to look
over this property. Will you kindly tell me how property of
this type is moving at the present time, and what the pros-
pects are for sale of this twelve acrds?
Thanking you in anticipation, I am
Yours very truly,
Trustee John S. Comins Estate.
EAS/D/M
Gardena, Florida,
Okeelanta P.O. 10/14,'22
Dear Dr. Will,-
Illness of myself and boat motor, hindered me from
being present -at the Okeelanta meetings.
Your letter left the date indefinite, and we do not
stay away more than one night as a rule.
It would hav bin impossible for me to be there at
any time up to the present as I hav the first cold, since
coming to the Glades.
I hear rumors of the meetings which were very unsat-
isfactoryto the majority of the attendants.
I think you are using up your vital energy for a
purpose that you hav in mind that dose not get the support
of the voters,as they think that all wil come out right
in the end.
Bascals in power throuout the world hbv maintained
that power,by hypnotizing people into the belief that
they were always going to do something in the future
and the future never came.
I hav no way of making prognostications as to the
way Florida votores wil act when election time cornes around
except to follow the peculiar results of the past.
We are surrounded with water two feet deep all over *
the Glades. Very little of the highest bank spots are above
the'water.
The road building project at present is in statu quo.
Until the Canal drainage is better, I see no permanent roads
The Good Roads League should have the matter in hand
and if their influence is thrown in the right direction,
H.H. should not be in for another two years.
Hell Has Helper in His Hogish Hands. You seem to be
working very much alone in keeping up investigations
that Harris the election.
I went into your house as I returned from Ft Lauderiale
and Found it in better shape than I thought froi:i a former
shorthend look.
Fraternally yours

My De-.r' Doctor:*
I 1i i to thank you for your varions communica-
tions regarding the glades road situation. They :e p me posted
as to the going- on there. I sincerely ho e the rnmudle mr,-
soon be unmuddled, that intense selfish ends may lose out, that
sound reasoning may prevail, and that our hard earned road funds
may be used to do the most good 1b r the real glades pioneers
and hard working settlers.
I expect to leave here in a fewv days for Flor-
ida, going in the marmon, taLin-- my familywith me, includin,;-
three da,-]hter7 fbr high school. Not decided. as to where I can
find the better schools, and as to whether they ht-ve room for
us. Am giving West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, And Lake Worth
consideration.
One of my dau' ters, to later enter Carnegie
Tech, must take second :-ir french. I do not know that frendc
is taught in Fort Lauderdale. Should aln like to have a ii-.ll
(furnished house, if can get one foE aa reasonable rent. I pre-
fer Fort Lauderdale, partly 6 r the reason that I can then build
on my "Las Palmas" property, also am fairly well acquainted there
If .'u happen to know of a suitable dwelling
and its rental, will you kindly so write me to Lake Worth,
fo Florida Sugar & Food Products Co.?

My De .r'Doctor:
I vi-t. to thank you for your varions communica-
tions regarding the glades road situation. They keep me posted
as to the going- on there. I sincerely hope the muddle may
soon be unmuddled, that intense selfish eid- may lose out, that
sound reasoning ma- prevail, and that our hard earned road funds
may be used to do the most good ) r the real glades pioneers
and hard working settlers.
I expect to leave here in a fevw da--. for Flor-
ida, going in the marmon, taking my familnyith me, including
three -iu- iters fbr high school. :Tot decided as to where I can
.find the better schools, and as to whether they have room for
us. Am giving West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, And Lake Worth
consideration.
One of my daughters, to later enter Carnegie
Tech, must take second year french. I do not know that frendh
is tau:.ht in Fort Lauderdale. Should als like to have a small
furrni~hrd house, if can get one for aa reasonable rent. I pre-
fer Fort Lauderdale, partly r the reason that I can then build
on my "Las Palmas" property, also am fairly well acquainted there
If -Du happen to know of a suitable dwelling
and its rental, will you kT-i;ll:r so write me to Lake Worth,
o Florida Sugar & Food Products Co.7
Ver truly tours,

Gardena, Florida,
Okeelanta P.O. 10 14,'22
Dear Dr. Will,-
Illness of myself and boat motor, hindered me from
being present -at the Okeelanta meetings.
I think you are using up your vital energy for a
purpose that you hav in mind that dose not get the support
of the voters,as they think that all wil come out right
in the end.
Bascals in power throuout the world hav maintain&
that power,by hypnotizing people into the belief that
they were always going to do something in the future
and the future never came.
I hav no way of akin& prognostications as to the
way Florida votores wil act when election time comes around
except to follow the peculiar results of the past.
Ve are surrounded with water two feet deep all over I
You seem to be
working very much alone in keeping up investigations
that Harris the election,
I went into your house as I returned from Ft Lauderdale
and Found it in better shape than I thought from a former
shorthand look.
Fraternally yours
I
