State of Florida and that State's great resources are behind the
drainage of the Everglades -- when drained they will be the GARDEI
SPOT OF THE WORLD and famous the world over, and those fortunate
enough to buy now, while the price is, comparatively speaking, on
the ground floor, will, indeed, take pride in their foresight and
judgment. The national -- I might almost say international --
reputation of one of the greatest drainage engineers is behind this
great reclamation project. Please investigate it. Above ALL things
get some of i-t NOT and reap the benefit of near-future values. In
my opinion, you cannot invest your money to better advantage anywhere
else in the country.

If you cannot work the land yourself, we can show you how it
can be worked for you.

Make up a party, go down to the Everglades and see this won-
derful country for yourself. Excursions run out of Washington twice
a month. You will return glad you went, glad you bought.

Come to one of our stereopticon lectures -- notice enclosed.
Make up a party ampng your friends and spend a pleasant, highly
profitable evening as our guests. Come and see our soil exhibits,
tropical fruits and plans -- take a sample of our soil exhibit
away with you, have it analysed and prove to your own satisfaction
just what it is and will do. We show you this wonderful country with
the aid of magnificently colored slides, some of which were made
from photographs taken by an employee in the Government Printing
Office. All these things will convince you that HERE is your op-
portunity -- the one you have been looking for.

Ladies are particularly welcome at our lectures, We oan refer
them to one of their number in the Forest Service, who returned from
a visit to the Everglades enthusiastic over her purchase of twenty
acres. She is urging her friends ,to buy.

We can help you tp pay for your land -- come and let us explain
how we can do this.

Don't throw this letter and literature into the waste paper
basket. Please read lit carefully, then pass it along by so doing,
you will not only aooommodate us, but your friends still more.

Come and see us at your lunch hour, or on your way home from
the office. We are centrally located, on the ground floor. Our
a address is 809 G Street, N. W., -- Ouray Building, opposite the
Patent Office -- our 'phone number is Main 4260. We shall always be
glad to see you and explain things to you, whether you buy or not.

routine with its eternal sameness and slow promotion. I am offering
Everglades lands to you because I BELIEVE IN IT, because I BELIEVE
that, while it is now selling at $50, $80, and $80 an oare in ten-
acre tracts on easy monthly payments, it will be but a short time
until it will be worth $500 an aore. The reputation of the great
State of Florida and that State's great resources are behind the
drainage of the Everglades -- when drained they will be the GARDEN
SPOT OF THE WORLD and famous the world over, and those fortunate
enough to buy now, while the price is, comparatively speaking, on
the ground floor, will, indeed, take pride in their foresight and
judgment. The national -- I might almost say international --

Naperville, Illinois, Octo-er 21, 1920.

Mr. Thos. E. Will,
Okeelanta, Fla.

Dear Mr. Will:-

I received a couple days apo, in Liberty BoniIR
and draft $306.40, balance due on Tract 41. $300.00 in Bonds,
$4.96 accrued interest on coupons, and $1.44 by draft. This
completes the amount due me on tract 41, and it aurelv was
very kind of you to arrange the sale, also I am grateful to
the Fort Lauderdale State Bank for their services.

I have your letter of the 13th inst. showing
the expenses incident to accomplishing the sale and transfer.
I note that all vou are akkingi$or me to stand is $2. nberest
on the Bank Loan. However, I am enclosing check for 35.28
which includes all but your fare to andfrom W.Palm Be chtich
expense is usually stood by the Land Arent, I believe.

Altogether I received in cash and Liberty Bonds
a total of $49~40 which after deducting $35.28 abrve mentioned
leaves me a balance of $455.-2,total for the. tract. Since I
paid Mr.Kraushar in Jan. 1916 50.00 casf-'for tract 41, the
investment set me back quite a bit. But I am thankful that it
wasn't more loss than that, and I am grateful to you in "helrinp
to dispose of the tract.

Now, Mr." Will, I would appreciate it if you would .
'. -. do your best to dispose of tract 42 also, but I was wondering if
you could not sell it for around $600.00 so that after all expenses .K
have been paid and you have received your ,L commission, that I
S will have at least $50 0 t coming to me7 HoWever if it is
necessary in order to sevur. sa, you'may let it go for $5,0. 0
as'before. I am letting it to your judgment. s -,

I hope that you will be pleased when you receive
this check and that everything is O.K. in every way. I am sending,,
you the old deeds andtax receiptsfor 1914,1915, and 1919. For
the years 1916,1917,and 1918, the tax receipts for tracts 41 and :-4
are on one sheet and therefore am not encloing them, but the.,
$r-'.*re all paid In full, and I trust'this will be satisfactory. "

f Will you please let me hear from you soon as to
wl at you feel you can d.o for ine on selling tract 42. Thank' yp
for all What you have already done for me. .
Sincerely yours, '

My Dear Mr. Will:

In settling up the estate of my Father
A.G.Beech, of Atlantic, Iowa. who died October, 15, 0I(J,
after a very long illness, we found all the deeds and
abstracts of title to his Florida holdings, with except-
ion of the land purchased by him of you. Now Mr. Will
in order that we go ahead with things according to his
will, we find it necessary to have the d;eds to said land, v
hence I am writing you as I know it was -rough you that
he maere all his purchases.
We will not be able to go ahead with any iri..pjaoyements
this year, but as it was my Fathers wish that the land v
be put under cultivation and inp1vyed we have decided to
do so to our best advantage. -I nrself am coming to Florida
next_all arrn look Pr his various holdings and whichever
is decided will bring the quickest_ ret.ur:e -ill 1-e put under

I am asking you Mr. Will as a friend of My Father and for
whom he had the utmost confidence and respect to do what
you can in our behalf to help get this matter cleared away.
Trusting I may have an early reply fror you, I am,

rr, Thoes. a Will,
Okeelanta, Florida.
Dear Mr. Wills-

Your letter of the 13th, inst, received. Deeds
and abstrasts, also received and were in fine form. In reference
de expenses incurred. Recording of deeds is a direct obligation
of ours, and was paid aecordingly. Cannot, however, see that
expense for continuing abstracts is any obligation of ours. The
eontraets covering this sale was made with you and not the actual
owner of the land, who is unknown to us. Certainly, as in all
eases, we insisted upon the deeds and abstracts before paying eash,
and I don't see that we are to blame if the owner insisted on eash.
Transfer of deeds and abstracts would have been made

direst to us from owner, and in this way avoid the details. We are
more than willing to pay what is our part, and no doubt your
eoamission offsets any minor expenses you have had.
Caneelled contraetoe covering purchasing of this land /
have not been returned. Kindly let me have them by your next letter.
Prospects for selling dasheens, look very good. Don't
know as yet about prices. An waiting for the samples. How did you
find Okeelanta, and the erops on your return? Is everything O.K.?
Would like a full report on same as soon as possible,
and if any damage was done, due to the opening of the leeks, would /
like to know who the owner of the dredge was, who gave permission
for the opening of the loeks.
