routine with its eternal sameness and slow promotion. I am offering
Everglades lands to you because I BELIEVS IN IT, baosuse I BELIEVE
that, while t is now selling at $50, $60, and $80 an acre in ten-
acre traots on easy monthly payments, it will be but a short time
until it will be worth $500 an acre. The reputation of the great
SState of Florida and that State's great resources are behind the
*. dainage of the Everglades -- when drained they will be the GARDEN
SPOT OF THE WORLD and famous the world over, and those fortunate
enough to buy now, while the price is, comparatively speaking, on
the ground floor, will, indeed, take pride in their foresight and
judgment. The national -- I might almost say international -- -
reputation of one of the greatest drainage engineers is behind this
great reclamation project. Please investigate it. Above ALL things
get some of it NOW and reap the benefit of near-future values. In
my opinion, you cannot invest your money to better advantage anywhere
else in the country. -

If you cannot work the land yourself, we can show you how it
S can be worked for you.

Make up a party, go"down to the Everglades and see this won-
derful country for yourself. Excursions run out of Washington twice
1 a month. You will return glad you went, glad you bought.

t Come to one of our'stereoptioon lectures -- notice enclosed.
Make up a party among your friends and spend a pleasant, highly
profitntle evening as our guests. Come and see our soil exhibits,
tropical fruits and plants -- take a sample of our soil exhibit
away with you, have it analyzed and prove to your own satisfaction
'just what it is and will do. We show you this wonderful country with
the aid of magnificently colored slides, some of which were maae
from photographs taken by an employee in the Government Printing
Office. Al1 these things will convince you that HERE is your op-
portunity-- the one you have been looking for.

Ladies.are particularly welcome at our lectures. Je oan refer
them to one of their number in the Forest Service, who returned from
a visit to the Everglades enthusiastic over her purchase of twenty

We can help you to pay for your land -- come and let us explain
ho we can do this.

Don't throw this letter and literature into the waste paper
basket. Please read it carefully, then pass it along by so doing,
you will not only aooommodate us, but your friends still more.

Dear Will:
I have been a eina thinking over your suggestion for changing con-
ditions so that it will be possible for the Fruitcrest buyers to secure deeds
for their holdings.. I think this should be done at once, aid it is my opinion
that the better way i do it is to immediately incorporate the Fraiterest
Association, so that deeds can be given and otohr action taleo without ix-
eurring personal responsibility, upon either yourself or the trustees. If
the funds will not per mit of incorporation at the association's expense,
it would probably be feasible to levy a small assessment on the membership
for this purpose.

Dear Sir:

Your favor of February let Just read. I hope you will
succeed in selling something in Townships 45 and 46; however,
do not understand that you are reclusive agent for the sane.

If we did not need some money we would not put this land
on the market until the oanal was completed and the raMflm
built, and for this reason we have not pushed the sale in the
Northern parts, but just now we need same money and on large
tracts we would be willing to reduce the price materially up
to the time we get sane sales made there or elsewhere.

Yours truly,

Feb. 6, 1919.

Dr. Thomas E. "'ill,
Okeelanta, Fla.

Dear Dr. Will:
It appears from my record that some weeks as-o I told 'Jr.
Chase he might use the school boat to bring pupils from the
Hillsboro Canal to the South Bay school, and the matter had
slipped my mind when you were in to see me,.

I note in your letter that the ES.offields are moving away
ani I infer that they lived south of Okeelanta. There ought to
be some way by ,-.ich this boat can be us-.-d to take the Ftock
Farm pu;-ils to the South Eay School, if necessary, or to Okee-
lanta, and also to accommodate a much larger number of pupils
who would probably come from the Hillsboro Looks to the South
Bay school. If the Okbelanta School is not overcrowded, there
':oul:I be no objection to these Hillsboro pupils coming righton
to the Okeelanta school, _t&kint-the Stock Farm children Vwith them,

I had a talk with Chairman Dyer this rriorning about your
letter, an.- he said he L.antel the school boat used where it would
accoimniodate the greatest number of pupils, and by taking these
Hillsboro pupils to Okeelanta, it would serve your purpose and his
at the same tiae. However, the boat is in charge of Mr. Chase
just now, and as his arrangement attedated yours, I do not geel
like telling him to give up the boat and disappoint the pupils
he intended to accommodate,

If you find that the Hillsboro pupils do not wish to use
the boat, I am sure Mr. Chase will let you have it for the
Stock Farm children.

Very truly

Dr.T.E.Till,
Okeelanta,Fla.

Dear Sir:
I wrote you some time ago, asking you to assist
me in finding a Chairman for your town, and you kindly sent me
the name of the school teacher Mrs.McCullough. I wrote her at
once but she has refused to accept the chairmanship owing to
tfe fact that she is leaving Okeelanta on the close of her
school in April.
I am so sorry to trouble you again, but it seems
you are the only one I can depend upon to give me names of th6se
whom would make good workers. I am very anxious to complete the
list of town chairmen so that I can forward same to headquarters,
and I am only being "held up" by four towns. Therefore I am ask-
ing you once more if you will please ennd me the name of another
good worker by return mail. I wonder if there would be any possible
way of you finding out,Tossitively, that the party woyld accept
the office before sending me her name. The time is growing so
short, that every day counts, and we must make this next drive a
success.
Any help you can give me will be greatly appre-
ciated, and I do thank you so much for the assistance already
given.

Very truly,

However, that boat has bP-n getting built for nearly a year,

and getting towed in.

Now,if you have q boat on which I can taka thmse peop3 up tn-

Everglades lands to you because I BELIEVE IN IT, because I BELIEVE
that, while it is now selling at $50, $80, and $80 an acre in ten-
oare tracts on easy monthly payments, it will be but a short time
until it will be worth $500 an acre. The reputation of the great
State of Florida and that State's great resources are behind the
BrAinagb'of the Everklades -- when drained they will be the GARDEN
SPOT OF THE WORLD and famous the world over, and those fortunate
enough to buy now, while the price is, comparatively speaking, on
the ground floor, will, indeed, take pride in their foresight and
judgment. The national -- I might almost say international --
reputation of one of the greatest drainage engineers is behind this
great reclamation project. Please investigate it. Above ALL things
get some of it NOW and reap the benefit of near-future values. In
my opinion, you cannot invest your money to better advantage anywhere
else in thb country.

If you canhot work the land yourself, we can show you how it
can be worked for you.

Make up a'party, go down to the Everglades and see this won-

profitable evening as' our guest. Come and see our soil exhibits,

just whaL it is and will do. Wd shbw you this vwnderful country with
the aid'of magnificently ooloreT slides, some of which were made
from photographs taken by an'employe in the Government Printing
Office. All these things will convince you that HERE is your op-
'portunity -- the one you have been looking for.

'Ladies are particularly welcome at our lectures. WI can refer
them to one of their number in the Pdrest Service, who returned from

that, while it is now selling at $50, 860, and $80 an aore in ten- *

the ground floor, will, indeed, take pride in their foresight and
judgment. The national -- I might almost say.international --
reputation of one of the greatest drainage engitleers is behind this
great reclamation prodeol. Please investigate it. Above ALL things

Mr. Gray writes : Griffin will put the ( cane mbll) in running

routine with its eternal sameness and slow promotion. I am offering
Everglades lands to you because I BELIEVE IN IT, because I BELIEVS
that, while it is now selling at $50, $60, and $30 an acre in ten-
aore traots on easy monthly payments, it will be but a short time
until it will be worth $500 an acre. The reputation of the great
State of Florida and that State's great resources are behind the
drainage of the Everglades -- when drained they will be the GARDEN
SPOT OF THE WORLD and famous the world over, and those fortunate
enough to buy now, while the price is, comparatively speaking, on
the ground floor, will, indeed, take pride in their -foresight and
judgment. The national -- I might almost say international --
reputation of one of the greatest drainage engineers is behind this
great reclamation project. Please investigate it. Above ALL things
get some of it NOW and reap the benefit of nearn-future values. In
my opinion, you cannot invest your money to better advantage anywhere
else in the country.

If you cannot work the land yourself, we can show you how it
can be worked for you.

Make up a party, go down to the Everglades and see this won-
derful country for yourself. Excursions run out of Washington twice
a month. You will return glad you went, glad you bought.

Come to one of our stereoptioon lectures -- notice enclosed.
Make up a party among your friends and spend % pleasant, highly
profitable evening as our guests. Come and see our soil exhibits,
tropical fruits and plants -- take a sample of our soil exhibit
away with you, have it analyzed and prove to your own satisfaction
just what it is and will do. We show you this wonderful country with
the aid of magnificently colored slides, some of which were made
from photographs taken by an employee in the Government Printing
Office. All these things will convince you that HERE is your op-
portunity -- the one you have been looking for.

Ladies are particularly welcome at our lectures. We can refer
them to one of their number in the Forest Service, who returned from
a visit to the Everglades enthusiastic over her purchase of twenty
acres. She is urging her friends to buy.

We oan help you to pay for your land -- come and let us explain
how we can do this.

Don't throw this letter and literature into the waste paper
basket. Please read it carefully, then pass it along by so doing,
you will not only accommodate us, but your friends still more.

Come and see us at your lunch hour, or on your way home from
the office. We are centrally located, on the ground floor. Our
address is 809 G Street, U. W., -- Ouray Building, opposite the
Patent Office -- our 'phone number is Main 4260. We shall always be
glad to see you and explain things to you, whether you buy or not.
