0ot. let 1917.

Mr. Those. E. Will.
Okeelanta, Fla.

Friend Will:

Your last letter was very interesting
and I am exceedingly glad to know you are taking r
up the farm loan proposition. I feel it will be
impossible for us to be at your place on that
date, but if it is not I will surely be_kbere.
Will try, as this is a got-dideo. I am enclosing
you price list, whioh I am sorry I omitted. If
you have buyers for large lots we will make the
prices lower to suit at theme.

Very truly yours,

Everglades land to you because I BELIEVI IN IT, because I BELIEYV
that, while it is now selling at 850, $60, and $80 an aore in ten-
aore traots on easy monthly payments, it will be but a short time
until it will be worth 8500 an aore. The reputation of the great
State of Florida and that State's great resources are behind the
drainage of the Everglades -- when drained they will be the GARDEN
SPOT OF THE WORLD and famous the world over, and those fortunate
enough to buy now, while the price is, comparatively speaking, on
the ground floor, will, indeed, take pride in their foresight and
judgasnt. The national -- I aight alamst say international --
reputation of one of the greatest drainage engineers is behind this
great reclamation project. Please investigate it. Above ALL things
get some of it ROT and reap the benefit of near-future values. In
my opinion, you cannot invest your money to better advantage anywhere
else in the country.

EVERGLADES PLOW COMPANY
812 FULTON BUILDING
PITTSmURGH. PA.
October 13th, 1917.

Dr. T.E.Will,
Okeelanta, Florida.

Dear Sir:-

I am enclosing herewith out and specifications of

"Little Ben". This machine has demonstrated on our soil here that

it is without a peer. It pulls two 14" plows through our heavy

solid ground with the greatest ease. It is built of the same

grade as the best automobile. Every bearing, outside of the engine,

is high grade roller or ball. The engine is four cylinder, 20 H.P.

It turns in a radius of 11'0".

I shipped one tractor yesterday to West Palm Beach.

I have two 16" Oliver Chilled "Narehbbcom" plows attached thereto.
A
I expect to leave for Okeelanta November 6th and will see what

"Little Ben" can do for the Okeelanta section. Our shop was entirely

t6o busy to get out this machine, so it is being built by another

concern. About a dozen more are coming through.

I know you will be glad to see Big Ben's "Little.Brother".

Very truly,

SWB..BZD

routine with its eternal samenesi and slow promotion. I aa offering
Xverglades lands to you because I BELIEVE IN IT, because I BELIEVE
that, while it is now selling at $50, $60, and $80 an aore in'ten-
aore tracts on easy monthly payments, it will be but a short time
until it will be worth $500 an aware. The reputation of the great
State of Florida and that State's great resources are behind the
drainage of the Everglales -- wen drained they will be the GAUZ3E
SPOT OF THE WORLD and famous the world over, and those fortunate
enough to buy now, while the price is, oamparatively speaking, on
the ground, floor, will, indeed, take pride nl their foresight and
juigai t. The national -- I aight almost say international --
reputation of one of the greatest drainage engineers is behind this
great reclamation project. Please investigate it. Above ALL things
get some of it NOT and reap the benefit of near-future values. In
my opinion, you cannot invest your maney to better advantage anywhere
else in the country.

If you cannot work the land yourself, w can show you how it
can be worked for you.

Make up a party, go down to the Everglades and see this won-
derful country for yourself. Ezoursions ran ot of Washington twioe
a month. Tou will return glad you went, glad you bought.

Come to one of our stereoptioon lectures -- notice enclosed.
Make up a party among your friends and spend a pleasant, highly
profitable evening as our guests. Come and see our @oil exhibits,
tropical fruits and plants -- take a sample of our soil exhibit
away with you, have it analysed and prove to your own satisfaction
Just what it is and will do. We show you this wonderful country with
the aid of magnifloently colored slides, some of which were made
from photographs taken by an employee in the Government Printing
Office. All these things will oonvinoe you that HERS is your op-
portunity -- the one you have been looking for.

Ladies are particularly weloome at our lectures. We can refer
them to one of their number in the Forest Service, who returned from
a visit to the Everglades enthusiastic over her purchase of twenty
acres. She is urging her friends to buy.

Ve can help you to pay for your land -- oome and let us explain
how we can do this.

Don't throw this letter and literature into the waste paper
basket. Please read it carefully, then pass it along by so doing,
you will not only aooommodate us, but your friends still more.

S,

routine with its eternal sameness and slow promotion. I a- offering
Evergladem land to you because I BELIEVE X I I, because I BDLIUIX
that, while it is now selling at $50, $60, and $80 an aore in tqns
aore traots on eamy monthly payments, it will be but a short time
until it will be worth $500 an aore. The reputation of the great
State of Florida and that State's great resources are behind the
drainage of the Everglades -- when drained they will be the GARDEI
SPOT OF TRE WORLD and famous the world over, and those fortunate
enough to buy now, while the price is, comparatively speaking, on
the ground floor, will, indeed, take pride in their foresight and
judgment. The national -- I might almost say international ,
reputation of one of the greatest drainage engineers is behind this
great reclamation project. Please investigate it. Above ALL things
get some of it NMO and reap the benefit of near-fVture values. In
my opinion, you cannot invest your money to better advante anywhere
else in the country.

If you cannot work the land yourself, we can show you how it
can be worked for you.

Make up a party, go down to the Everglades and see this won-
derful country for yourself. Excursions run out of Washington twice
a month. You will return glad you went, glad you bought.

Come to one of oar stereoptioon lectures -- notio& aenlosed.
Make up a party among your friends and spend a pleasant, highly
profitable evening as our guests. Come and see our soil exhibits,
tropical fruits and plants -- take a sample of our soil exhibit
away with you, have it analysed and prove to your own satisfaction
just whaL it is and will do. We show you this wonderful country with
the aid of magnificently colored elides, some of whioh were made
from photographs taken by an employs in the Government Printing
Office. All these things will convince you that-H ER it your op-
portunity -- the one you have been looking for.

Ladies are particularly welooae at our leotures, We oan refer
them to one of their number in the Forest Service, who returned from
a visit to the Everglades enthusiastic over her purobase of twenty
more. She i urging her friends to buy.

We can help you to pay for your land oom and let uo explain
how we can do this.

Don't throw this letter and literature into the waste paper
basket. Pleaae read it carefully, then pass it along by so doing,
you will not only aooomodate us, but your friends still more.

aome and see us at your lunoh hour, or on your.way, hoe from
the office. We are centrally located, on the ground floor. Our
address is 809 0 Street, 1. 1., -- Ouray Building, opposite the
Patent Office -- our 'phone number is Main 4860, oW shall always be
glad to see you and explain things to you, whether you bay or not.

Ver tru you a
