Voter turn-out at these General Elections waY over 18% less than
at the 1972 Ileetions, these figures being 82.56 in 1972 and
64.49 in 1976.

Numerically, 6,468 more persons voted at the 1976 polls than did
so in 1972. Of this increased 921 votes went to the Grenada
United Labour Party while the balance of 5,597 vas captured by
the independent' candidate and The People's Alliance.


GOVERNMENT CORRECTS FIGURES FOR VOTERS LIST
NEWSLETTER for the'week ending December 4th gave details of
voters in Grenada's 15 constituencies as given in the Government
Gazette of November 19th. The Government Gazette of November
30th cancelled that of November 19th and gave new figures for
the constituencies.

The following are the new figures compared with the 1972 Voters

In an exclusive interview by telephone on Deember 7th with Mr Cozier
