who otherwise would not attract this kind of exposure, the collec-

tion is in *. a ': to that audience, who ...i '. now for the first

first time, and through a queer lens. While some of the pieces seem

to i .-; r. each other at times, and while some important national

traditions (Haitian, Dominican, ., i !- .. :'i seem less-than-pro-

portionately represented, Our i .,."'...T 'strengths certainly exceed

its minor weaknesses, and ; i .I;, i deserves to inspire future writ

ers and artists to build on and expand from .i. important and vital

foundational work. 0
